“It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Acts 20:35b
Giving back to the Lord is an act of worship. It is a way for us to be used by God - for His purposes and for His glory. We worship God by giving our tithes and offerings back to Him through our local church.
A convenient method of giving is online, through your bank’s “Bill Pay” system. Most banks offer an electronic bill pay option through your existing checking account. Many banks offer this feature at no cost if you have a qualifying account with them. It’s easy to set up your online giving using the bill pay feature offered by your bank.
When you log in to your online bank account, you can set up a bill pay option to pay your tithe or offering when you choose, and for the amount you choose. You can set up the account so the payment is sent out on a recurring basis, or you can send the payment out when you decide. In either case, the bank will send the church a check as you direct.
Recurring online giving works great through bill pay, but is not to be done through PayPal. PayPal should only be used for camp registration fees or other similar activities. For specific questions, email Sue French at: SFrench@vvcrossroads.org.
You can easily set up a bill pay option to send your tithe or offering to Crossroads (190 Butcher Rd., Vacaville, CA 95687). And if you are considering a gift to a specific ministry or account, you can do that too. Just enter the name of the ministry in the “Notes” field before you submit the payment. Check with your banker if you have any questions or if you’d like help getting bill pay set up for you.
